Giclée printing

We offer a high quality Giclée print-making service. We use:

• premium archival quality papers including Hahnemühle and Fotospeed

• Lucia fade-resistant inks so your prints will stay fresh and accurate for decades

We can produce prints from our own digitised version of your art, or we can offer a print-only service using an existing digital version of an image supplied by you.

File Requirements

Minimum 200 dpi (dots/pixels per inch), ideally 300+ dpi

We accept TIF, PSD, PNG and JPEG file formats

Please note that JPEG compression should be at least level 9

Colour Space - Adobe, or sRGB

Paper Options

‣ Hahnemühle fine art photo rag acid free, 308 gsm, 100% cotton rag - is a premium smooth white matt paper suitable for signed, framed and limited editions. It complies with the highest archival standards and approved by the Fine Art Trade guild for Giclée printing. This is a long established firm favourite with artists and photographers the world over.

‣ Expressions by Fotospeed acid free, 300 gsm, 100% cotton rag - is a lightly textured matt fine art paper suitable for most applications: it is slightly lighter (thinner) at 300 gsm than the premium option, but still delivers the best quality printing and is approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild. It is the ideal choice for price-sensitive print sales. 100%.

‣ Other papers – are available in our Etsy Shop. If you have a particular preference for a paper not listed above we can usually accommodate this, please get in touch for details.

It is assumed that any material submitted to Artifex-Imaging.uk or ArtifexImagingStudio is by the original copyright holder or permission has been given by the copyright holder to digitise or reproduce said material. Limited Edition Fulfilment

Artists, photographers and galleries often opt to create limited edition prints of their work. This can create demand, increase the value of the originals, and produce new revenue streams in print sales.

We offer a seamless integrated service for artists and photographers marketing limited edition prints. Once your art is digitised we can provide on demand archival quality limited edition prints. Prints can be made up to 60 x 40 inches (150 x 100 cm) and sent directly to you, or to your customer. You can either opt to sign each print, or we can add a pre-signed certificate with the prints as a guarantee of authenticity.

Additionally we offer our own print certification. A certificate is supplied with each print, linked to the print via twinned holograms. Each print is registered online along with details you provide.
